For his 9th grade drama class at high school, Abe had to make a director's notebook for Act II, Scene 1 of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". He decided to do the notebook in HTML, and wrote JavaScript code to auto-number the lines of the play and provide cross-references. As the assignment called for, he did include a costume drawing, set design, notes on blocking, motivation, props, and so forth.
For his 10th grade dramatic literature class, Abe chose to create a director's notebook for Twelfth Night. He again used HTML and a little JavaScript to make the notebook. His basic idea was to set the play in fedual Japan, and he researched names, costumes, and set design. He used Photoshop to create the costume and set drawings.
