Elwira Vaclav moved into Noland House in Shumeet Crest. Elwira Vaclav is worrying about her brother Welby Shumeet, who, according to Dennie Noland, left 37 years ago for a voyage on the Advection and hasn't been heard from since. Elwira is experiencing memory loss and no longer remembers one of her oldest friends, the late Martguerita Shumeet; they first met 57 years ago in Grandview Heights, Pelican and last saw each other 30 years ago in Pittsburg, Pelican.

Elwira is on her deathbed and was visited by the following friends and family: Monte Noland, Claribel Noland, Brynne Noland, Kippy Vaclav, and Bellanca Zollie. Elwira Vaclav died in Shumeet Crest, Pelican, of natural causes; she was 70 years old. Elwira Vaclav was laid to rest in the Shumeet Crest cemetery by a procession of its residents, who placed a gravestone there.
