Johann Aldis reluctantly accepted an invitation from Cal Zollie to leave Dighton on the Penkeeper, but will have to consult family. Daffie Aldis is not willing to go on the journey; Johann has acquiesced and will stay back too. Daffie Aldis gave birth to a boy named Temple Che Aldis, of whom Johann Aldis is the father. Daffie Aldis took her own life in Dighton, Hornbeak; she was 22 years old. Daffie Aldis was laid to rest in the Dighton cemetery by a procession of its residents, who placed a gravestone there.
