xjpeg - Tool to allow exploration of how changes to JPEG parameters affects the quality of the reconstructed image. The user can interactively adjust the usual spatial quality setting, as well as less commonly modified parameters like pre-smoothing, and individual quantization matrix entries. The luminance and chrominance quantization matrices can be adjusted separately. It is also possible to peak at the quantization table after it has been modified by the spatial quality setting. Both the source image and compressed image are shown. Optional scaling makes it easy to examine artifacts in the compressed image. A context sensitive help window describes each interface widget.
