 Subject: USTC 777’s reunion

 Jason,

I just visited the Web discussion site Dai Sa had established for this coming reunion event at Las Vegas.
The on-going discussion indicated the support for this event.

The target date for this event is rapidly approaching and decisions have to be made to make this event possible.
Several issues need to be resolved now or soon.

It was suggested for each of us (777’s graduates) to have some kind of commitment now or soon, such as setting up
a preregistration site, or sending you a “yes/no/maybe” message.

I think this is an important issue; without this kind of commitment from each of us, it would be difficult to proceed,
such as booking up hotel rooms, conference room, transportation, etc.

I would guess that you would have compiled a “complete” list of 777’s email addresses. I would like to suggest that
you send a message to this list. In this message, you would summarize what the current consensus are for the “place” and “date” of the reunion and, most importantly, ask for a “yes/no/maybe” reply by a deadline.

An approximate budget for the 2-3 stay in Lad Vegas included in the message would be helpful.

A general message would also be posted at Dai Sa’s web site and would be updated weekly.

It is great to have the discussion web site to continue these interesting and inspiring discussions but it is also
very important for each of us to let the people who initiated and organized this event know your decision of participating or unable-to-participate at this time. It will always have another time for the reunion.

Jason, all of us appreciate your effort and the energy you had put into this event. It is fortunate
to have talented and non-selfish people like you among the USTC 777’s.

Best wishes to you and your family,

 John
