Subject: About Guobao

 Like all of you, it is a shock to hear Guobao's case.
 
 I agree with Tangming's proposal and we should do
 all we can to help Guobao and his family. Guobao is
 always an optmistic person, as you and I would 
 remember. It must be extremely painful for him to go
 through the psycological and physical suffering. 
 
 I met Guobao in mid 1997 when I went back to Keda
 for a visit. He came from Nanjing to see me. Early this
 year, I met him and his family in Nanjing on January 4.
 We had dinner together. At that time, he was not well
 but nobody suspected that it was cancer. Guobao's
 wife and daughter are both very kind and smart.
 
 Since Tang Ming is in Beijing and Guobao is 
 sufferring from depression. A personal visit may offer 
 a great deal more to boost his courage to fight the
 disease. Nanjing is 1 hr flight from Beijing I would like
 to request Tang Ming to spare a day to visit them.
 I will share the cost with you, Mr Monitor.
 
 Let us send Guobao a card each to encourage him.
