Subject: Fund and Preof. Huang

 Thank everyone of you for the effort trying to setup the Fund. After reviewing the 
 discussion board, I do feel we need set up something not only for Prof. Huang but also for 
 a longer term purpose. My suggestions:
 
 · Set up a sub Foundation within USTCAF for a general long-term purpose by USTC 
 777ers. We can target for $2000 now and maybe more later.
 · Form a small board (three-person group, one from each major?) to manage the use. I 
 suggest that Lin Jian takes the lead on this issue.
 · Annually present the award(?) from interests (if we have enough). For the first year, 
 we can present award as Prof. Huang Peihua Scholarship; next time maybe 
 something in Geophysics or other area/subject. The board have a proposal every year 
 and all donators will cast vote to decide the final use.
 · For Prof. Huang’s family, we should have one time donation based on Chen Yao’s 
 finding from Huang’s daughter. I propose that ChenYao to take the lead on this.
 
 So glad to see USTC 777ers working together as a team for….
