About Me

I received my bachelor's degree in Mathematical and Scientific Computation with an emphasis in Biology (basically an applied math major) and a minor in Bioinformatics and Quantitative Biology from UC Davis. I have an MS in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics from UCSC and I am continuing for my PhD.

I was born and raised in the Northern California area. I have an older sister who is currently a graduate student in the Applied Math.

I have sound-color synesthesia, so I see shapes, colors, and textures when I hear sounds.
