I have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, I am in the Master's program for Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz for Fall 2018. A potential field I have interest in for my Master's is machine learning and computer vision. I also work with control systems and circuit design. I want to apply these applications in robotics and autonomous systems.

Analyzing data using FPGA integration. Board used was Xilinx FPGA using Vivado 2015.2 software. Basic tasks were learning how environment works and implementing set logic within Vivado 2015.2 software using Xilinx FPGA.

Description:

Working under engineers at Mercedes-Benz and with a team of six students on a DSP orientated project. The project involves building a standalone audio framework that uses several audio input channels on an embedded platform that allows to identify which microphone from an array of n microphones has the loudest signal and to send 1 to (n) of the microphones’ voice signals to an embedded system.

Project: PCDS IMS Bluetooth Motor and App Design

Description:

The goal of this project was to allow calibration and self alignment of machines at a much more efficient rate. The approach was to use a stepper motor to align the machines through bluetooth communication between Arduino and an Android device. This application developed would allow the user to control the motor movement, speed, steps, current, and much more via their cellphone without having the user go back and fourth from the control room to the hutch to align and run their experiments. Along with this, there would be a new idea for a mechanical design (casing) on how to hold the Arduino Uno, HC-05 Bluetooth module, and the driver board together with the motor itself.

Description:

My position on the team was to focus on the thermal properties of the prototype house, such as thermal conductivity material testing, Thermal Stability and much more. This prototype house built from scratch using a custom composite mixture.

Autonomous Robot – Mechatronics Design
Undergraduate Student at University of California, Santa Cruz
Description:

Designed an autonomous robot that completed complex tasks over a period of four weeks. This project incorporated skills in hardware, software, and mechanical. All components and circuitry was built from scratch. Designed beacon sensors to detect certain range of frequencies and tape sensors to detect the predetermined field that the droid was placed on. Audio Amplifier PCB Design

Description:

Completed an electronic design using skills with Capture and Allegro to construct and design an audio amplifier. Created the design on capture and imported it to PCB Allegro, routing all the connections methodically. Imported final design with Gerbtool to board house for a printed PCB.


AM Radio Receiver

Description:

Designed an AM radio receiver from scratch at high radio frequencies. This project incorporated skills understanding RF hardware design/theory and PCB design. This was a four week project that underwent critical thinking and theory of antenna theory, RF design, 2-port networks, impedance matching for maximum power transfer, oscillator design and much more. Project was first designed first in PSPICE and tested thoroughly and implemented onto PCB Allegro. Design was implemented onto final PCB and tested to output certain to wide range AM frequencies to an output speaker.
