I am Sriram Srinivasan, an applied scientist at Amazon. I completed my PhD in computer science at University of California Santa Cruz under Dr. Lise Getoor.
My research interests include but are not to machine learning application and theory,
system performance, deep learning, NLP related tasks and parallel algorithms.
In specific my PhD work involves improving the performance of structured
prediction tasks through the use of statistical relational learning. I worked on graphical models and
incorporating relational structure to improve regular prediction tasks. In the past I have worked on
application of other learning algorithms such as bandit algorithms, reinforcement learning, and deep
Machine learning, Statistical relational learning, Bayesian models, Online learning, Reinforcement learning, Deep learning.
Other than academics I am interested in anything exciting like surfing, snowboarding, scuba diving, sky diving, etc.
