Siyang Qin

I am currently a fourth-year Ph.D candidate at Computer Engineering Department , University of California,Santa Cruz. I am a member of the Computer Vision Lab, advised by Professor Roberto Manduchi. I did two summer internship at Google in 2015 and 2016, before that I got my Bachelor degree from School of Software, Tsinghua University in Beijing.

My research focus on Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning and how to become a better Dota player.

Jan 2017: My son Brandon is born.

Sep 2016: I spent a great summer at Google, worked on face shadow removal and skin smoothing. Thanks to my hosts Ray and Simon.

Feb 2016: Our paper "A Fast and Robust Text Spotter" was accepted to IEEE Winter Conference on Applications of Computer Vision (WACV) 2016.

Sep 2015: I finished my internship at Google Photos Team. Thanks to my hosts Claude and Jason.
