UCSC’s DANSER lab, collaborating with USGS and NASA Ames, is designing a Common Payload Data System for the next version of the SIERRA UAV. The CPDS will contain multiple sensors which are going to be used to collect data from the environment, partially processed and stored for further processing.
Responsibilities:
- Programming device drivers for multiple sensors
- Integrating the readings from all sensors in a synchronized fashion
- Designing the firmware to collect, process and store the measurements
