MSP - Assignment 2

Now it's time to start making some cool stuff you can show other people.

First, you need to create a portfolio at: http://openprocessing.org

  • Record your new information in your notebook
  • When you are logged in, you will see “Dashboard” and “Portfolio”
  • Click on Portfolio, there will be nothing there
  • Highlight the link that looks something like: “http://www.openprocessing.org/user/28110
  • Paste that link on your WordPress site on the LINKS PAGE

We will come back to this later…

Now, start the Processing program. If you don't have it, then re-download it, but ask your counselors to make sure it's not on your computer.

You will need to “Add Mode” from the menu at the top right corner.

IMPORTANT NOTE: JavaScript will appear AFTER you close and restart Processing.

Now read through Chapter 5, and test out the concepts for yourself.

Please save the following Examples from the book in one of these 2 ways:

You must load at least these 4 with these names:

  • “Proj1Paintbrush”: Example 5-9
  • “Proj2GrowingCircle”: Example 5-16
  • “Proj3BlinkingBox”: 5-17
  • “Proj4Robot”: Robot 3

It is strongly encouraged to add features and properties, like colors and other variations, to the code.
