Welcome to Rongwen (Henry) Zhao's webpage! I am a Computer Science student at University of California, Santa Cruz. My co-advisors is Alex Pang from the Advanced Visualization and Interactive Systems Lab. I received my B.Eng from the Anhui University, China , majoring in Computer Science.
I am particularly interested in Data mining, visual Analytics, and Urban Computing. Currently, my work focus on (1) visualizing machine learning models to convey bigger pictures of the machine learning model behavior (visual error analysis), and (2) crowdsourcing human intelligence to disambiguate concepts in machine learning (uncertainties in labeled dataset, mismatches in encoders).
I believe the symbiotic relationship between humans and machines is essential: by leveraging the computational capabilities of machines and the cognitive powers of humans, we will be able to help provide answers to a problem that are intractable to either humans or machines alone in isolation.
