Curriculum Vitae (CV) is Latin for "course of life" and is basically a compilation of all your experiences, achievements, publications, services rendered, etc. As such, they tend to be much longer than a resume. It's not unusual to see a CV in tens of pages. These are usually used in academia, although they could be used in place of resumes in certain countries.
For this assignment, you can target your resume for your dream job. For those of you planning to pursue a career in academia, this would also be a good time to start your CV.
If you are an MS CS student, please look at projects.soe.ucsc.edu/ for a list of projects (jobs) that you can apply to. Even if you're not an MS CS student, you might want to check out the page also. Note that the list of projects is being updated continuously. If you have a project that you'd like to do and is not currently on the list of projects, please contact pang at ucsc.edu. If you don't see any projects that you like, and have no idea what projects that you might want to work on, you can still complete this homework as if targeting your resume for your dream job.
Finally, for those who are interested in working on one of these projects, please login with your cruzid (there's a tiny "Log in" button on the bottom right). Once there, click on the project that interests you and there's an option to indicate the membership type. Select "interested".
Your resume should be either a pdf or doc file.
