• Nov 27: Grades for assignment 3 is now available. Hover your mouse over your grade to get feedback on your assignment. Your attendance (up till Nov 24) record has also been posted. Perfect attendance up to this point is 9 out of 10. Hover your mouse over your grade if your attendance is less than 9 to see which date(s) you were absent. Note that you need at least 8 attendance, in addition to satisfactory completion of the assignments, to pass the course.

• Nov 24: The application deadline for the leadership certificate program that Dean Tyrus Miller talked about today has been extended to December 7. Here is information about the draft syllabus , and how to apply .

• Nov 12: Grades for assignment 2 is now available. Hover your mouse over your grade to get feedback on your assignment. Your attendance (up till Nov 10) record has also been posted. • Nov 11: For those interested in Prof. Alvaro's research, here are some video resources that you might prefer to reading his papers: blazes and LDFI, dedalus, and bloom. Also, he will be teach CMPS 290S next quarter.

• Nov 02: Please participate in the following research survey on communicating diagnostic test accuracy. Completed entries will be entered into a raffle drawing for some gift cards. We hope to get at least 75 entries and will do the drawing as soon as that target is reached -- hopefully by Monday November 9, so that we can do the drawing in class on November 10. Please enter your student ID # (or your name) on the last page of the survey to enter the drawing. Please DO NOT use your smartphone to complete the survey due to limited screen space. • Nov 02: We are trying to work out the logistics for the social event scheduled right after our last guest speaker on Dec 1. To help in this planning, please complete the RSVP link ASAP.

• Nov 02: Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to submit your assignment 3 using the SOE git server. If you have already submitted assignment #3, this procedure is optional.

• Nov 01: In case you're not signed up on piazza, the deadline for Assignment #3 has been pushed to November 10. Please stay tune as well for new instructions on how to submit your reviews.

• Oct 31: Assignment #1 has now been graded. You can check your grade using the online grade link below. Clicking on assignment1 link on the left column shows the grade distribution of this class. Hover your mouse over your assignment1 grade will give some feedback comments about your assignment in a popup box.
