We will have a QUIZ on Sep 26, 2016! It will contain simple questions about Linear Algebra that you should know if you have the pre-requisites for this class. Review matrix and vector operations.
This is a 7-unit class. The course load is like taking 2 courses. Plan accordingly. CMPS 160 will focus on concepts/algorithm for computer graphics, while CMPS 160L will focus on implementation with WebGL.
To get a headstart in this class, read up on: (a) HTML, (b) javascript, (c) WebGL, and (d) DO the 4 lab and 4 programming assignments in the Spring 2016 offering of this class. Problems are accessible from: https://users.soe.ucsc.edu/~pang/160/s16/
To demonstrate mastery of the course materials, you should be able to write a program that can render objects with proper lighting and shading, and allow users to manipulate objects and camera.
