About Me:

I started my Ph.D in the Fall of 2016, though I actually started doing research at UCSC during the summer at SSRC. I learned so much during that summer, and it really got me
excited about the school year.

During the summer, I worked on a project that involved machine learning, CAPES. This got me thinking about other possible applications for machine learning.

May research interests lie in the realm of system security and performance. I really enjoyed working on my summer project and I hope to continue working on that type of research.

My goal for my Ph.D is to become a research professor in a research 1 university. I love sharing my knowledge with students and spreading interest in my favorite subject.

I was a TA for CMPS 5P in Fall 2016. This was my first time leading discussion/labs without being accompanied by other TAs. Ever since I started as a TA, I learned
how to communicate efficiently with students, which is one of the most important skills an instructor can have.
