Hello! My name is Megan Boivin. I am a graduate student studying Computer Engineering with a focus on Robotics and Controls at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

I completed my BS in Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2011. I worked at Edwards AFB in southern California from July 2011 to July 2013 . While at Edwards I worked with a small group to design a data analysis tool specific to the squadron's test needs. I am very excited to begin my graduate studies and get back to my main interest - Robotics.

Research Interests

My research interests include robotics, specifically rehabilitation robotics and prosthetics. I would like to work on incorporating haptics into new prosthetic designs to improve the outcome for each individual.

Other Interests

When not in the lab I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to shows, drawing and painting, playing board games, slacklining, horseback riding, and snowboarding.

I also love to travel! I have a very long list of places I would love to see. I have been slowly crossing them off by attempting to take a trip once every year or two. After I finished my BS I took a trip to Italy and France, and this last summer I took a trip along the East Coast of the US hitting Washington D.C., New York City, and Boston.
