402.   Christoph Melvin is trying to gather up a group of people in Normandy for an expedition on the Kentuckian, which Christoph Melvin has agreed to lead. The group about to board the Kentuckian has decided that, rather than Christoph Melvin naming himself captain outright, the passengers will decide who their captain will be democratically. Zechariah Gilles's shipmates have decided that he would make the best captain. Zechariah Gilles was designated captain of the Kentuckian, which will depart Normandy shortly; he has never captained a ship before. Hastings Shumeet, Capt. 403.   The Kentuckian is heading NW at full-speed. The crew of the Kentuckian have spotted land. The Kentuckian is approaching an apparently uninhabited island. A new island was discovered by the crew of Kentuckian. They call it Greenbrier. On it, they have founded a port called Worthington.
