They named it after Robina Zollie. There is talk of the settlements of Zollie Town, Tonawandaand Gillesville consolidating. The settlements of Scammon Bay, Tonawanda, Zollie Town, and Sunnyside are consolidating; since it's the biggest town and the economic center of the area, Scammon Bay will absorb the other settlements. Zollie Town has been annexed by Scammon Bay.
