362.   The Teratological was built in Litchfield, Hornbeak, by Lind Gilles. It is the first ship that he has completed. Lind Gilles is trying to gather up a group of people in Litchfield for an expedition on the Teratological, which Lind Gilles has agreed to lead. The group about to board the Teratological has decided that, rather than Lind Gilles naming himself captain outright, the passengers will decide who their captain will be democratically. Lind Gilles's shipmates have decided that he would make the best captain. As the only person embarking the Teratological, which will depart Litchfield shortly, Lind Gilles will naturally serve as its captain; he has never captained a ship before. Capt. Lind Gilles has boarded the Teratological from the port of Litchfield, Hornbeak; he will be embark on this voyage alone. The Teratological, under command of Capt. Lind Gilles, has left the harbor at Litchfield, Hornbeak. The Teratological is heading W at three-quarter speed.

364.   The Teratological is heading W at full-speed. The Teratological sank 223 miles off the coast of New Waterford; there was one person aboard. Capt. Lind Gilles, captain of the Teratological since 362, drowned in the open ocean after the Teratological was shipwrecked; he was 48 years old.
