Narrative

312.   The Forebridge was built in Gilles Lake, Mount Hope, by Prudy Gilles. It is the first ship that she has completed.
340.   Torry Gilles is trying to gather up a group of people in Gilles Lake for an expedition on the Forebridge, which Torry Gilles has agreed to lead. The group about to board the Forebridge has decided that, rather than Torry Gilles naming himself captain outright, the passengers will decide who their captain will be democratically. Torry Gilles's shipmates have decided that he would make the best captain. Torry Gilles was designated captain of the Forebridge, which will depart Gilles Lake shortly; he has never captained a ship before. Todd Gilles, Han Gilles, Capt. Torry Gilles, Blinni Gilles, Laureen Gilles, Coretta Gilles, Veronika Gilles, and Michelle Gilles have boarded the Forebridge from the port of Gilles Lake, Mount Hope. The Forebridge, under command of Capt. Torry Gilles, has left the harbor at Gilles Lake, Mount Hope. The Forebridge is heading E at three-quarter speed.
341.   The Forebridge is heading E at quarter-speed.
342.   The Forebridge is heading E at three-quarter speed.
343.   The Forebridge is heading E at three-quarter speed. The crew of the Forebridge have spotted land. The Forebridge is approaching an apparently uninhabited island. A new island was discovered by the crew of Forebridge. They call it Nondalton. On it, they have founded a port called Coffee Springs.
356.   Capt. Torry Gilles, who captained the Forebridge from 340 to 343, died in Coffee Springs, Nondalton, of natural causes; he was 66 years old.
