Narrative
303. The Altimetrical was built in Everson, Waterford, by Norm Vaclav. It is the first ship that he has completed.
376. Vaughan Gilles is trying to gather up a group of people in Everson for an expedition on the Altimetrical, which Vaughan Gilles has agreed to lead. The group about to board the Altimetrical has decided that, rather than Vaughan Gilles naming himself captain outright, the passengers will decide who their captain will be democratically. Vaughan Gilles's shipmates have decided that he would make the best captain. Vaughan Gilles was designated captain of the Altimetrical, which will depart Everson shortly; he has never captained a ship before. Capt. Vaughan Gilles and Lea Gilles have boarded the Altimetrical from the port of Everson, Waterford; these two are the ship's only crew and passengers. The Altimetrical, under command of Capt. Vaughan Gilles, has left the harbor at Everson, Waterford.
The Altimetrical is heading N at quarter-speed.
377. The Altimetrical is heading N at three-quarter speed.
378. The Altimetrical is heading E at half-speed.
379. The Altimetrical is heading S at quarter-speed. The crew of the Altimetrical have spotted land. The Altimetrical is approaching the island of Diomede. Altimetrical is now docked at Nolensville, on Diomede.
406. Capt. Vaughan Gilles, who captained the Altimetrical from 376 to 379, died in Wendell, Diomede, of natural causes; he was 62 years old.
