263.   Puryear, Pelican, was founded by Blakeley Noland, Grissel Noland, Edin Gilles, Zary Gilles, Valli Gilles, Blakeley Noland, and Valli Gilles. They named it after Grissel Noland. The settlements of New Carlisle, Buhland Puryear are consolidating; since it's the oldest town and the cultural center of the area, New Carlisle will absorb the other settlements. Puryear has been annexed by New Carlisle.
