BRYAN THORNLOW
I am currently a first-year Ph.D. student at University of California,
Santa Cruz, studying biomolecular engineering
and bioinformatics. I'm making this webpage as an assignment for
this class.
- Personal Sites:
- GitHub - GitHub is a powerful tool that allows
collaborators to work together on a single project in a coordinated manner. It is one of
the most important resources that a computer scientist can use for projects.
- LinkedIn - LinkedIn is a
networking tool used in virtually every field to display work histories and accomplishments.
- last.fm -
last.fm is perhaps my favorite website - as you listen to music
through whatever software you might use, this site keeps track of your
history. You can use this to look back at your
own listening habits as well as those of others, and look at statistics
based on this. It also provides has a radio feature that can very effectively give
music recommendations, provided that you have used the site long enough to have
to have a representative history of your taste!
- Rotation History:
Here is a table showing my academic history. In order to
move from New York to California, I took a
nine day cross-country road trip with my father - here
you can see some of the pictures we took! Also,
here is a picture of my dog!
