More about me
-
I grew up in Singapore, a tropical
island at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. After completing my bachelor degree in
Singapore, I spent five memorable years at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia,
where I obtained my Ph.D. degree. Now, I live in San Jose, California,
with my husband and two
lovely children, Isabella and Andre.
My chinese name is 陈婉秋。 I am named after an actress and singer (黄婉秋) who is more famously known as the fearless folk singer (刘三姐) in the movie 3rd sister Liu. Unfortunately (or fortunately!), I have never tried singing as a career.
