Ph.D. candidate and member of the Systems Research Lab at the Department of Computer Science, University of California, Santa Cruz.

My research is on providing QoS on storage systems. Recently, I've been working on improving the performance consistency of flash storage.
Prior to that, I was working on real-time scheduling. Besides systems, I have an interest and experience in machine learning theory and a number of its applications on the web. Prior to my Ph.D. studies, in 2008, I received a Master in Mathematics (M.Math) from the
University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
