Unix
As far as you (an end-user) are concerned, the UNIX operating system
organizes all information in a directory tree, known as a file
system. This file system consists of files and
directories which you can manipulate by issuing commands.
Some very basic commands are listed
below to get you started. If you need more information on these
commands, type the command man at the UNIX prompt.
