Animation with HDR

CMPS 161 Final Project

Project:

This project illustrates a few different types of animation: camera animation around a scene using Bezier Splines, dynamic exposure animation using luminance values, as well as hierarchical rotational animation.

What you're seeing:

  • The camera is animating along varying Bezier Splines.
  • The objects are lit with a central light source.
  • As well, the objects themselves are set in motion.
  • Dramatic lighting use HDR.
  • Animated exposure due to changes in the luminance of the scene.
  • Controls:

  • q - quit
  • f - toggle on/off HDR
  • g - switch between objects
  • Screen Shots:

-- this shot shows the exposure increased because light is being blocked by the sphere --

-- this shot shows the exposure decreased because there is an excess of light --

-- this shot shows what the scene looks like without HDR --

-- this shot shows the cylinder objects --

-- this shot shows the teapot objects --

-- this shot shows cube objects --
