Project Description and Goals
The intent of this project is to have a 3D object that the user can manipulate by clicking and dragging a line across a face on the object. That line will serve as the line with which to cut through the object, resulting in two separate objects. The effects are intended to simulate one of the functions of Solidworks, cutting.
User Instructions
- Program runs on Windows with the GLUT library installed
- Moving the mouse while holding the left mouse button will rotate the object
- Moving the mouse while holding the right mouse button will translate the object
- Moving the mouse while holding the middle mouse button will scale the object
- Click the left mouse button to put down the starting vertex for the cut line. Click again on another location to construct the cut line.
- Pressing the x key over a cut line vertex will remove it
