My pets belong to two poison dart frog species from South America: Dendrobates Azureus (the blue ones), about 1.5 inches in size, and Dendrobates Imitator, about 0.5 inch in size. The Dendrobates Azureus is found in the forests surrounded by the Sipaliwini savannah, which is located in southern Suriname, while the Dendrobates Imitator is found in the rainforest of northeastern Peru.
Both species are active and outgoing :) They love bathing in their little water dishes, jumping around their humid vivariums, and munching on wingless fruit flies, which I grow for them. Some say I am a fruit flies farmer; some call me frog princess--both titles mean the same thing! ![]() ![]() | |
