Hi!

I was born and grew up in Chengdu for about 23 years, where I lived with my dear mom throughout my childhood -- so many beautiful memories in this historical and modern city.

After I got my B.E. from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, I went to UCSC in 2010 for my PhD study, hoping I can grow faster and do something interesting and creative. My dream is to be at a job where I think it's sort of an adventure, something fun that it doesn't feel like work.

Now, I am luckily working with Professor Neoklis (Alkis) Polyzotis in the Database Group. My current research is Crowdsourcing, which has great potential in industry and has been implemented by companies, such as Amazon Mechanical Turk, oDesk, CrowdFlower etc. Also, I find I am probably about to be interested in various stuff such as NoSQL, MapReduce, Hadoop etc.
