DNA damage repair proteins --- other web sites
This file will contain pointers to existing web sites
DNA damage and repair (not including
tutorials, which are
separately gathered).
Pointers to other or better sites are welcomed.
-
Eisen's DNA-repair website
- Tables of DNA-repair proteins for
Direct Repair,
Base Excision Repair,
AP Endonucleases,
Nucleotide Excision Repair,
Mismatch Repair,
Recombinational Repair,
and
Miscellaneous Proteins; with pointers to Swissprot.
Some of the tables give multiple organisms as separate columns.
Uses an awkward 3-panel frame and currently has little information
beyond the links to Swissprot.
-
Eisen's links to interesting DNA-repair web pages
- A good collection of web links for DNA-repair.
-
Eisen's MutS page
- an informative page on MutS, with links to tables of subfamily info.
-
- Jonathan Eisen's home page, with pointers to his SNF2, RecA,
Mutator, GnRH, MutS, and UvrA web pages.
- Gene Family database---DNA Repair
- Has pointers to other databases for the main mismatch
repair and nucleotide-excision repair proteins, but adds
little new information.
- DNA Repair
- A collection of moderately useful pointers for DNA-repair
researchers, with an amusing cartoon.
This is a draft page with information about DNA-repair proteins.
There is a lot more work to be done on these pages.
The Bioinformatics group at UCSC is supported in part by NSF grant
BIR-9408579, NSF grant MIP-9488395, DOE grant DE-FG03-95ER62112, LACOR
grant 4158U0015-3A-01, and by GANN and NSF graduate fellowships.
The DNA-repair pages are not currently funded, so development of
them is very slow.
