Jakob Skou Pedersen
Moved
I have moved to Unviersity of Copenhagen, Denmark, where I run a
group in
comparative genomics.
Research Interests
I work on the use of phylogenetic models in comparative
genomics. My main focus is on characterizing the set of human
structural RNA, which include both independent molecules and
regulatory elements of protein-coding transcripts. These
functional elements are difficult to identify by single-sequence
analysis, but can be detected by comparative means. An important
part of this work is the functional characterization, where I have
a special interest in the structures overlapping protein coding regions.
