the front side, which only reached #3.

PEAKED at #1 starting 3 January 1970.

"Hot Fun In The Summer Time" by Mungo Jerry: incorrect
"Hot Fun In The Summertime" by Sly & The Family Stone: correct

You mixed up "Hot Fun In The Summertime" with "In The Summertime"
(which hit #3 on 12 September 1970 for Mungo Jerry).
