Hi there. My name
is Sina and I am a postdoc in the EE
department.
My research advisor is Prof.
Peyman Milanfar
and I work in the Multi-Dimensional Signal
Processing (MDSP)
research group. For some strange reasons my
research interest is in image enhancement and
reconstruction. My main area of research is
multi-frame super-resolution, demosaicing, motion
estimation, imaging through turbid media, and
photon limited imaging. I also like to meddle with
some image compression and computer vision ideas.
Currently, I am collaborating with Prof.
Michael Elad,
Dr. Dirk Robinson, and
Dr. Julian Christou,
Prof. Ali Shakouri,
Prof.
Benjamin Friedlander,
and Prof
Robert Nowak
on different projects.
Currently the plan
is to stick around Santa Cruz till around Feb 2007,
working on a DARPA sponsored project to capture
high-resolution images through turbid media. I am
looking for a new research oriented position after
finishing this project. I also do reviewing for
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE
Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine
Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and
Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on
Circuits and Systems, IEEE Transactions on
Multimedia, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Signal
Image and Video Processing, EURASIP Journal on
Applied Signal Processing, Signal Processing: Image
Communication Journal, Optical Engineering, and
related conferences.
