Research:
My current research focuses on the inference of a potential function or drift function for a Brownian particle. For most of the experiments we model, only a hitting time can be observed. In general this is an ill-posed problem. Our goal is to set constraints on the experiment or the model to insure identifiability of the drift function. The class of experiments that we usually model are considered Single Molecule Experiments . This work is under the supervision of Dr. Hongyun Wang.
I have also worked in the area of salmon growth modeling with Dr. Marc Mangel and chemotaxis modeling of Helicobacter pylori with Karen Otteman.

Areas of Interest:
Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics
Quantitative Finance
Molecular Evolution

Teaching Experience:
In the summer of 2009 I taught the introductory statistics class AMS 5.
