Hello, my name is Steven W. Carter, and I am a graduate student in Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz. I've been working on my PhD for several years now, and I may even graduate someday soon. My dissertation topic involves video-on-demand.

Here I am in front of my trusty rusty (and since discarded) Gateway 2000 386dx-33 computer. This picture was taken in 1996.
